Jacob Luther Sheffler 1839
About
Jacob Luther Sheffler was a shoemaker. He married Mary Jane Errett in Westmoreland County and they had their first child Ada Jane Sheffler there. They moved to Ohio before the Civil War and Jacob served a short stint in an Ohio Regiment during the Civil War. During the war two more children were born to them. Just after the war the Shefflers moved to Greene County, Indiana where they continued producing their large family. Jacob died before 1880 with 9 children.
